The Athletes Interviewed Podcast

By: Hazel LeBlanc

Hi, i already made an intro for my podcast on my blog, but i wanted to go over the typical questions i ask athletes and a little deeper into what each season of interviewing looks like.

THE QUESTIONS:

The questions can vary depending on the sport but these  tend to be the base questions I usually ask,

there is also always plenty of time to have conversation and to ask me questions during the recording.

instead of having them answer these on spot i have a pre-made packet i hand out,

with the questions that i have them answer and give back to me so

we can go more in-depth in the actual interview.  i also don't always just ask questions i like to have good amount of

conversation as well.

Questions :

**please answer in order**

  1. What's your name?

  2. What sports do you play?

  3. What position do you play?

  4. And please  expand on what that position does and the importance to the specific sport,

  5. for those whom might not be familiar

  6. How long have you played said sport?

  7. What inspired you to play this sport? Parents, friends, teachers etc.

  8. Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to? And why?

  9. What's some advice you've gained from past coaches that have made you a better sports player?

  10. Do you see yourself continuing sports and making it to the bigger leagues?

  11. What's some advice you would give to someone looking into the sport you play?

  12.  And finally what do you believe is the biggest challenge athletes are facing  today?  And why?
